[Forum] Re: NA City Council Meetings

i attended the most recent meeting and the council seemed to be somewhat 
taken aback by the fact that there were warm bodies in the room (and 
even stranger that we were just observing and not staging some sort of 
protest). literally, there were just four people in the audience (3 
observing, 1 mcla student taking notes for a paper and one person airing 
grievances with a city employee).

i think that there might be value in occasionally attending in person, 
if only to shake things up a little. there is, after all, an open forum 
at the end of meetings and i've heard plenty of discussion around local 
issues that people think aren't being addressed in the current city 
gov't (sidewalk snow removal, neighborhood noise, city signage, etc).
