[Forum] 2007 North Adams Open Studios

Hi everyone.  

Mark the dates on your calendar  - the 2007 North Adams Open Studios will be held the weekend of Oct. 13th and 14th. Once again, it will be a city-wide event with art being shown at multiple sites.

Last year's event was a wonderful success, with more than 500 visitors, support from the city and some local businesses, and lots of good press.  So much of that success was due to the efforts of Jane Hudson and Diane Sullivan.  Unfortunately, they've both got other commitments this year and won't be on the organizing committee again.  

So, please step forward if you're interested in being on our new committee to make the 2007 Open Studios another exciting art-filled weekend. We've got 8 months to pull it together.  Last year's experience taught us a lot and should help things go smoothly this year.  And of course, new ideas and improvements are welcome.  

I'd like to get an organizing committee together of at least 10 or 12, with each person having a reasonable amount of work.  This committee will be defining the event, registering artists, planning the sites, planning the budget, etc. during the next two months.  

Please let me know if you'd like to be on the committee.
