call to artists from GALLERY 181

LANDSCAPES/MINDSCAPES

Gallery 181 is quickly establishing itself as an exciting and innovative
exhibition space, located in the historic turn-of-the-century mill city of
Lawrence, Massachusetts, USA. The city is open and eager culturally, welcoming all
types of arts events, and is becoming a mecca for artists! The nature of these
mill buildings has provided artists with wonderful studio spaces, galleries,
and the projection for the future of this city is quite optimistic due to the
energetic creativity of its inhabitants and visitors. Gallery 181 is located
within one of these mill buildings, a common area to many businesses and
shops. The space is enormous and challenging, and we have been fortunate to
continue and expand upon our very exciting and innovative exhibitions! Please go to
www.caladangallery.com/sites/gallery181 <
http://www.caladangallery.com/sites/gallery181> to see our present endeavors.

With the upcoming "Landscapes/Mindscapes" exhibition, we seek to fill the
abundance space of the gallery with work that will reflect the beauty of the
season of our region and the feeling of expansion that it brings along with it.
We also will not limit these works - it is also within the realm of mind and
imagination that the translation of the reality of the environment takes
place. Therefore we have extended our scope to include not only the landscape in
the more traditional and contemporary sense, but also that which is a
reflection of the imagination...this can include the exploration of spacial
relationships, space itself, or doors of the mind that have sprung open to reveal a
world inside.
