Hello Everyone,
A few of you suggested that I try to organize the idea that I put out
there about local artists becoming involved in the Fall Foliage Parade.
So, I have begun to do just that and I would like to use this forum to get
an idea of who would be interested in working on this project in either an
artistic capacity (aka who would like to be involved in the float-making)
and an organizational capacity (who would like to help me organize area
artists/businesses/organizations and work on float-making logistics). We
can then get a set of e-mails together so that we don't bug the people who
do not want to do this.
For now if anyone interested in helping out in any way could get back to
me and just let me know they want to be on baord in some capacity then
that would be great. I know I've heard from a couple of you already, but
please e-mail me again. I have scheduled myself to go to the monthly Fall
Foliage Parade committee meeting on March 27, so if you have any questions
or concerns about this project please bring them up in your response to me
and I can put them on the agenda for that meeting. Rod Bunt told me that
the biggest issue with floats is generally where to store them until the
parade, so if anyone has any ideas about that please let me know them as
well.
Thanks so much, I hope that we can get something going around this project
because I think it would be something fun for us and for the community as
a whole. For more information about the parade, its history, etc. please
