CALL FOR ARTISTS

ArtWorks!, a non-profit community arts center in New Bedford,
Massachusetts is now accepting submissions from artists whose work
examines the issue of immigration. We are especially interested in the
work of artists who themselves are immigrants or first-generation
Americans and whose work reflects their related experiences. All media
will be considered. Exhibition dates: June 1-July 28. Deadline for
submissions: April 2, 2007.  Please send no more than 3 high-quality
slides and a short biography to: ArtWorks!, 384 Acushnet Ave., New
Bedford, MA, 02740, attn: Ann Wood OR send no more than 3 high-quality
digital images and a short biography to annwood at artworksforyou.org with
the subject: june exhibition. Please make sure to include application (or
requested information via email if submitting digital images) with your
submissions and a non-refundable $25 fee. Include a SASE for return of

Curatorial Opportunity

ArtWorks!, a community arts center located in New Bedford, Massachusetts,
is now accepting proposals for an exhibition to be presented by a guest
curator. We are especially interested in exhibition proposals that address
local community events and/or concerns and incorporate local and regional
artists. The exhibition dates are August 3-September 8, 2007. Exhibition
should include at least three artists. Although we are searching for
relatively „new‰ curators, all interested parties are encouraged to apply.
Please include a CV or Resume and a brief (no more than two page) proposal
describing the exhibition as well as its relevance to the community of New
Bedford. Supplemental materials such as slides, photos, or digital images
are also encouraged, but not required. Selected curator will receive a
$1000 stipend. Please send proposal to ArtWorks!, 384 Acushnet Ave., New

proposal in the form of an attachment or attachments to
