hope noone minds me posting out of town events, I'd just like to see a
relationship fostered between Troy and North Adams - Troy is a close
neighbor dealing with similar community-wide issues . and I always post
North Adams events in Troy :)
so, here's a reminder about this month Troy Night Out - another good
opportunity to see whats going on over the hill.
some info on that below. followed by info on the empac exhibit Bedlam which
will closes for the day at 5pm. followed by info on one of the music events
that night - Jason Webley, an amazing accordian player and song writer from
Portland, Oregon.

"It doesn't help that his songs defy any sort of easy categorization.
He describes his sound as "punk accordion," a raucous blend of
drinking songs, East European folk music, and the occasional ballad,
with lyrics about devils, skeletons, and dancing at the end of the
world reminiscent of the Pogues and Tom Waits." -- Seattle Weekly
[Dostoevsky's Pistols]

RPI's own gypsy punk super-group is the latest craze to hit the GZ
stage. The Pistols, featuring Kyle McDonald, Ryan Jenkins, Zane Van
Dusen, Peter Paggi, Drewkulele and many others, create insanely
exciting and danceable music. Their sound is so authentic that you
might just forget that they're really just a bunch of engineers and
scientists.
[Drewkulele aka Drewphonium]
Drew Rajczewski plays a ukulele, mandolin, euphonium, guitar, bass and
he even dabbles in drums. You can never be sure what you'll see Drew
do, but you can safely assume it will be awesome. Last concert he
played Elton John covers on ukulele, so who knows what you'll see this
time around.
