[Forum] A way to boost the arts community

Dear friends,

I plan to volunteer a little of my time this season to help staff the Visitors Information Booth on Union Street in front of the Windsor Mill.

Folks from the local arts community -- newcomers and old-timers alike -- might want to join in. I can't think of a better way to bolster the presence of our growing arts community in the mind of the City and -- to speak self-servingly -- in the mind of tourists, than to have honest-to-gosh arts community people interacting with our visitors.

You don't have to devote all that much time to it, either. A 2-hour shift once per week -- or even once every two weeks -- will be greatly appreciated by the city. The booth will be open every day.
